Overturned tractor-trailer shuts down ramp from I-485 to I-85 in Charlotte, NCDOT says

Drivers heading toward the inner loop of Interstate 485 in west Charlotte should find an alternate route: An overturned tractor-trailer has closed a ramp, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.

The ramp from I-485 to I-85 South (exit 10B) is closed due to a crash, NCDOT said in a tweet Tuesday afternoon.

One person has non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, Medic said.

The ramp is expected to remain closed until 3 p.m., according to DriveNC.

Another ramp closure around 10 a.m. also involved a tractor-trailer.

That crash happened on the W.T. Harris Boulevard ramp onto southbound I-77 in north Charlotte, NCDOT said. The ramp is expected to reopen around 3 p.m., according to DriveNC.

The tractor-trailer driver in this crash had minor injuries, WBTV reported.
