One person died and another is being treated for serious injuries after a wreck on Interstate 485 Thursday evening, according to Medic.

The crash happened about 4 p.m. at I-485 inner between Oakdale Road and Harris Boulevard, Charlotte Fire said in a tweet.

First responders were seen near a damaged white truck that was flipped over onto its roof, WSOC-TV reported. The cause of the wreck is unclear.

“All lanes of traffic stopped momentarily; expect significant delays in the area; see alternate route,” the tweet said.

Two lanes on I-485 along the crash site will remain closed until at least 7:59 p.m., according to DriveNC.
