The Jan. 6 hearings begin tonight. When and how to watch in Charlotte

The House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol will hold the first of a handful of public hearings on Thursday to show Americans what they have learned about the event nearly a year after it took place.

The committee is slated to reveal information from more than 1,000 people who testified in front of its nine-member panel during its 11-month investigation, the Associated Press reported.

Here’s how to watch the hearings live.

When are the Jan. 6 hearings?

The first hearing is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Thursday, and the second is set for 10 a.m. on Monday, June 13.

The committee has not announced the remaining hearing dates, but there could be as many as eight in June and a final hearing in September, the Washington Post reported.

How to watch the Jan. 6 hearings in Charlotte

Thursday’s hearing will air on most major news networks, including ABC, CBS NBC, MSNBC and CNN. The hearings will also air live on the ABC News, NBC News and CBS News streaming sites.

The hearings will also be available on C-SPAN, YouTube and on the House of Representatives website at january6th.house.gov/news/watch-live.

Fox News, the nation’s top cable news network will not broadcast the hearings. Instead, the network will stick to its routine nightly programming lineup. Live news coverage of the hearings will pivot to Fox Business.

WJZY, the Fox affiliate for the Charlotte area, will air a live feed of the proceedings.

CNN’s coverage of the hearing will stream live on the CNN app. A login is not required to watch.

Those with Hulu + Live TV, Sling TV or YouTube TV subscriptions can also stream the hearings.

Who will testify during the Jan. 6 hearings?

While officials have not publicly named those who are expected to testify, The Associated Press reported that British filmmaker Nick Quested, who recorded members of the far-right Proud Boys extremist group as they stormed the building, and Caroline Edwards, a U.S. Capitol Police officer who was seriously injured in the attack, will be among the witnesses.
