Are you playing the Mega Millions lottery in Charlotte? Tell us why.

After Tuesday’s drawing for the Mega Millions jackpot went unclaimed, the prize rose to a whopping $1.02 billion.

If a winner is announced on Friday, they will receive $602.5 million in cash before taxes – the third largest prize in the game’s 20-year history, according to the Mega Millions website.

Although the odds of winning are extremely low, many Americans are hoping to secure the grand prize. The Mega Millions website reached 62 million requests for tickets after the drawing Tuesday night, which temporarily crashed the website, a spokesperson for the lottery told CNN.

Now, we want to hear why you’re buying a ticket.

Are you playing the Mega Millions for the first time to win big? Do you love the thrill of participating? Or is buying lottery tickets part of your normal routine? Let us know.
