Video with Tennessee woman’s shark safety tips goes viral

A Tennessee woman’s video showcasing her “summer safety tips” is going viral.

Veronica-Pooh Nash Poleate posted the video to her Facebook page last Sunday and since then, it’s gotten almost 7 million views on Facebook.

Poleate, perturbed by the unusual number of shark attacks reported recently, advises summer beach goers to “use some common sense.”

If you’re going to the beach, go to the beach, Poleate says, and watch the ocean -- “the shark’s house” -- from a distance.

“Safety first,” says Poleate, who appears to be driving in the video.

According to her Facebook page, Poleate is a school counselor at the Hamilton County Department of Education.

North Carolina has had seven shark attacks since June 11.
