Police still searching for Gastonia hotel robbery suspect

Police are still looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery at a Budget Inn in Gastonia early Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Gastonia police, an “unknown black male” stole about $400 from the hotel at just after 2 a.m. on July 4.

The suspect also threatened the life of the victim, whose connection to the hotel was not immediately clear.

Time Warner Cable News reports that as of Saturday night, police are still on the lookout for the suspect, and that no one was hurt in the incident.

The Gastonia Budget Inn is located at 800 W Franklin Blvd.
