Police searching for masked men who robbed Monroe gas station

Police are searching for two men they say masked their faces as they held employees at a Monroe gas station at gunpoint before getting away with cash Sunday night.

At about 10:20 p.m., officers were sent to a Marathon gas station at 2303 Morgan Mill Road after receiving word of an armed robbery, police said. A clerk told authorities that two men dressed in all black, including black hoodies and bandanas covering their faces, walked into the store wielding a gun and demanding money.

They got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robbers are described as about 5-foot-8, slim build and possibly in their 20s. Police are still searching for suspects.
