A 9-month-old boy died when a car with two children inside rolled over him in Lenoir Tuesday night, police said.
Responding to a 911 call, police said they found the child beneath the vehicle in the Sunset Street Mobile Home Park off U.S. 321 shortly before 7:30 p.m. The child was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The car appears to have been parked in a driveway with two children, aged 6 and 8, inside when it rolled downhill and hit the child and another parked vehicle, Police Chief Scott Brown said.
