Watch in full: WBTV helicopter pilot Chip Tayag’s memorial services

Watch the livestream memorial service for Chip Tayag, the pilot of the WBTV Sky3 helicopter that crashed last Tuesday, claiming the lives of Tayag and meteorologist Jason Myers.

The livestream will be begin on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at 12 p.m.

Tayag, 57, will forever be remembered as a hero, said his friends, colleagues and those who saw or responded to the crash off of Interstate 77. Tayag potentially saved lives when something still unknown went awry with the helicopter above south Charlotte. Tayag somehow avoided the highway traffic and office buildings, crashing in a small, grassy area beside the highway.

Tayag had flown helicopters for more than 20 years.
