Electrolux donated more than $125,000 in air conditioners on Monday for local residents in need. The company delivered more than 600 Frigidaire air conditioners to Crisis Assistance Ministry for distribution to low-income Mecklenburg County residents. The ministry’s Free Furniture Bank provides appliances and furniture to low income and formerly homeless families who are referred by other charities. “It’s still early in the season and we’ve already experienced extreme temperatures,” said Joon So, Electrolux vice president and general manager of Cold and Home Comfort Products. “Going without an air conditioner can be life threatening, and we hope this donation will make life better for families in need.”
