CLT airport daily parking reservations now required under temporary change

Anyone looking to park in the “Daily Decks” at Charlotte Douglas International Airport will need a reservation for the coming weeks.

Daily parking decks are “reservation only from mid-January through February,” the airport said in a statement to The Charlotte Observer, “as the airport continues to modernize its parking facilities.”

“Drive-up parking options are available at CLT’s other parking facilities,” the statement said.

The airport has rolled back the rule that reservations must be made at least three hours in advance for daily parking decks amid the temporary policy change, meaning “drivers can book onsite within seconds of parking.”

“The three-hour minimum lead time for online booking, however, still applies to CLT’s other parking lots/decks,” the airport’s statement said.

How to reserve airport parking at Charlotte Douglas

You can reserve parking at the Charlotte airport using the airport’s app or at cltairport.com/parking.

You’ll need to provide the days and times you plan to arrive at the airport and leave it to make the reservation.

If you need to change your reservation, you can do so at cltairport.com/parking/#modify-guest-booking. You’ll need the reference number given when you made your reservation to modify it.

You can “save up to 60%” on the cost of your parking if you reserve your space online, the airport advertises. You can also sign up at subscribe.cltairport.com/subscribe to receive “offers and promotions” on parking.
