Another round of thunderstorms is expected to hit the Charlotte area Tuesday, mainly after noon and continuing into the evening, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.
The chance of storms stands at 40 percent in the afternoon and 50 percent at night.
Charlotte can expect its 32nd day of the year with temperatures in the 90s, as the mercury could reach 94 by afternoon.
That 90s streak is forecast to continue into the weekend, with expected highs of 93 Wednesday, 91 Thursday and Friday and 94 Saturday.

The next chance of showers and thunderstorms returns Saturday, Sunday and Monday, but the chance is only 30 percent.
