The unsettled weather pattern that brought thunderstorms and damaging winds to parts of the Charlotte area the past two days has moved out, and a relative cold front is moving in Wednesday.
The front will drop highs to an expected 91 degrees Wednesday, 89 Thursday and 90 Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
Those highs are about normal for this week of the year and are nowhere near the string of highs in the mid- to high 90s in recent weeks.
The next four days will be partly to mostly sunny.
Saturday night and Sunday will bring the next chance of precipitation, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Enjoy the comparatively mild temperatures, because highs are expected to shoot back up again to near 95 Saturday and Sunday, then 97 Monday.
