It’s another cooler July day in Charlotte, with the high expected to reach 89 degrees, up slightly from Wednesday’s high of 88.

No rain is expected Thursday. It will be partly sunny with a mild breeze of 5 to 8 mph, according to the National Weather Service. The night sky will be mostly cloudy, and the low temperature will fall to around 72.

Friday will be slightly warmer, with a high near 91 and a low again around 72.

There’s a slight chance for showers this weekend.

There is a 20 percent chance of showers after noon on Saturday, with a high near 94. The chance of rain increases to 30 percent after 11 p.m. Saturday, with more clouds moving in. The low will be around 74.

Sunday the chance of showers and thunderstorms stays at 30 percent, but that’s mainly after 4 p.m. It should be a partly sunny day with a high near 96 and a low around 74.
