Be ready to hit the brakes on I-77 near uptown

Traffic is moving about 30 mph on Interstate 77 in and around uptown Charlotte, but no accidents appear to be slowing the morning commute in that area.

Commuters traveling in from the Lake Norman area might also see slowdowns to about 30 mph on I-77 around Gilead Road.

Northbound I-85 is slow moving through Gastonia. Expect to hit the brakes on the approach to Cox Road.
