A crash on Interstate 85 sent diesel fuel spewing across the highway and closed two southbound lanes Tuesday morning, according to police.
The crash happened at about 8 a.m. and wasn’t expected to clear until about 11 a.m., according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department asked traffic to avoid the area near exit 40, at the intersection of I-85 and N. Graham Street. Police did not say what caused the crash or whether anyone was injured.
