These streets in uptown will be closed during the Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade

The Charlotte Pride Festival and Parade is expected to draw nearly 300,000 visitors to uptown this weekend to celebrate LGBTQ culture.

The two-day festival will include hundreds of booths from local art exhibits, nonprofits, retailers, a food court, and concerts headlined by rapper Big Freedia and pop singer Greyson Chance.

The parade, which is scheduled for Sunday from 1-4 p.m., will be streamed on the City of Charlotte website.

Here are the roads that will be closed for the festival, according to the City of Charlotte GIS website:

  • Levine Avenue of the Arts, between South Church Street and South Tryon Street (Friday at 9 a.m. to Monday at midnight)

  • South Tryon Street, between West Morehead Street and East Fourth Street (Friday at 9 a.m. to Monday at midnight)

  • West Fourth Street, between South Church Street and South College Street (Saturday at 5 a.m. to Monday at midnight)

Here are the roads that will be closed for the parade on Sunday, according to the City of Charlotte GIS website:

  • Ninth Street, between College Street and Church Street (8 a.m.-6 p.m.)

  • East 11th Street, between College Street and Church Street (8 a.m.-6 p.m.)

  • East Eighth Street, between College Street and Church Street (8 a.m.-4 p.m.)

  • Montford Point Street, between Tryon Street and College Street (8 a.m.-6 p.m.)

  • North Tryon Street, between Ninth Street and Fourth Street (12:30-4:30 p.m.)

  • Tryon Street, between East Ninth Street and College Street/Church Street connector (8 a.m.-6 p.m.)

  • West 10th Street, between North Tryon Street and North Church Street (8 a.m.-6 p.m.)

  • West Fifth Street, between Church Street and College Street (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

  • West Sixth Street, between Church Street and College Street (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

  • West Seventh Street, between Church Street and College Street (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)

  • West Trade Street, between College Street and Church Street (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
