“Prepare to be moved by the raw energy and passion that define HBCU marching bands,” the event’s page states. “Don’t miss out on this extraordinary weekend that celebrates the essence and excellence of HBCUs.”

Before the main event, attendees can enjoy the 2023 HBCU Labor Day Classic Fan Fest FanFest with food trucks, vendors, live high school band performances, and more.

The event will be held at Memorial Stadium, 218-1238 Armory Dr., on Sunday. The FanFest lasts from 12-4 p.m., and the Battle of the Bands begins at 5 p.m. Ticket prices range from $20-$200 and can be purchased at eventbrite.com.
