The Powerball player who won $1 million from a Cherryville ticket in January is running out of time to collect his or her prize.
The unknown player, who correctly guessed the numbers of all five white balls, has had 180 days to come forward with the ticket. The prize will expire Monday, July 27.
Someone bought the $2 ticket at the Murphy USA on Lincolnton Highway in Cherryville. The odds were 1 in 5.1 million of winning the prize money, the N.C. Education Lottery reported.

The winning numbers for the potential millionaire were 12-24-35-36-49.
To claim the money, the winner must bring the ticket to the N.C. Education Lottery headquarters in Raleigh by 5 p.m. July 27..
