Police are asking for help finding a 23-year-old man and frequent camper last seen in Charlotte Monday.

Alexander Louis Miller routinely visits campsites and trails in Uwharrie Forest and Crowders Mountain in his 2022 red Toyota Tacoma, family told the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The car has a rooftop tent and a North Carolina tag #HBS-8709.

Miller was last seen at Mallard Green Apartments, which sit in the 9800 block of Mary Alexander Road directly across from University of North Carolina at Charlotte, according to a CMPD news release. He was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and white socks with Adidas slides.

CMPD spokesperson Michael Allinger did not know if Miller is a UNCC student.

Officers are asking anyone with information to call 911.
