A report on magnet schools and an update on the quest for a long-term superintendent are on tap for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board this week.
At the board’s regular meeting Tuesday, Superintendent Ann Clark will report on a recently completed review of the district’s magnet programs. It’s part of an ongoing review of student assignment.
That meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the meeting chamber at the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Fourth St. There’s an opportunity for public comments early in the meeting.
At 4 p.m. Wednesday, the board will hold a special meeting to discuss their superintendent search. Clark was hired in the aftermath of Heath Morrison’s November resignation, but Clark plans to retire no later than July 2016. The board is seeking a long-term replacement.
The meeting will be in Room 527 at the Government Center.
