Republican mayoral candidate Edwin Peacock said Monday he has raised $137,000 so far for the September party primary.

Campaign finance reports for candidates are due Friday for the fundraising period that covers June 30.

Peacock is facing businessman Scott Stone in the Sept. 15 primary. The winner of that race will face a Democrat from a six-person field.

Former Mecklenburg County Commissioner Jennifer Roberts, a Democrat, already has filed her report, stating she has raised more than $300,000.

Roberts got a jump on the rest of the field, as she announced she was running more than a year ago.

Peacock announced he would be running in late May. When he lost to Democrat Patrick Cannon in the 2013 mayoral race, Peacock had raised $392,000.
