Which Charlotte grocery & retail stores will be open and closed on the 4th of July?
Independence Day is coming up and you may want to plan ahead if you need to go shopping for the holiday.
Along with Mecklenburg County and the City of Charlotte offices and services, USPS and most banks, several stores and businesses will be closed on the Fourth of July, but some will still be open.
So if you have any holiday pool parties, barbecues or gatherings planned, here is a list of which grocery and retail shops will be open and closed on Thursday:

Food Lion: Open during regular business hours
The Fresh Market: Open during regular business hours
Harris Teeter: Open during regular business hours
Lidl: Open during regular business hours
Publix: Open during regular business hours
Sam’s Club: Open 8 a.m.- 6 p.m. for plus members and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. for club members.
Target: Open during regular business hours
Trader Joe’s: Open until 5 p.m.
Walmart: Open during regular business hours
Whole Foods: Most stores open with modified hours
Costco will be closed.

CVS Pharmacy: Open during regular business hours. Some locations may have reduced hours.
Dick’s Sporting Goods: Most locations open during regular business hours
Dollar General: Open during regular business hours
Kohl’s: Open until 7 p.m.
Macy’s: Open with reduced hours
Petco: Most locations will close by 8 p.m. Some may close at 7 p.m.
PetSmart: Open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
