Military members train just like the Carolina Panthers inside Bank of America Stadium
In the middle of the July heat, about 100 local service members had the opportunity to train like the Carolina Panthers for a day at Bank of America Stadium.
They trained in teams and participated in various NFL player drills such as the 40-yard dash, broad jump, three-cone shuttle, receiving gauntlet and the QB arm challenge.
“It’s just great seeing new members that for the first time, they form up as a team, and are going out there and executing to try and win the trophy at the end of the day,” said Butler Kendrick, a military affairs representative of USAA.
Nathan Wohlers, a Marine, expressed his enthusiasm. “Honestly, I would do this again. I had an awesome experience, got to meet people I hadn’t met before and got to do something somewhere I never thought I’d be.”
The winner team received two tickets to a Panthers home football game.
