Which streets will be closed for the Charlotte marathon this weekend? See the maps
The countdown is on for thousands of runners who will be packing the streets of uptown for one of the biggest race weekends in Charlotte.
The 2024 Novant Health Charlotte Marathon, half marathon, 5K and marathon relay events will be held Saturday, Nov. 16 with over 9,000 runners from around the world coming together to benefit Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital.
All distances and all events are officially sold out, and organizers are anticipating a record number of crowds.
Charlotte marathon start & finish line
The start line for all distances will be at 525 S. Tryon St. and the finish line will be on 4th Street near Mint Street.
Roads around uptown Charlotte, NoDa, Myers Park, Plaza Midwood and other surrounding areas will be blocked off for participants, including portions of:
- Morehead Street
- Mint Street
- Randolph Road
- Queens Road
The marathon, half marathon and marathon relays will kick off at 7:20 a.m. The 5k begins at 7:35 a.m.
The 5k first finish time is expected around 7:55 a.m., and the full marathon’s first finish time is expected around 9:55 a.m. According to organizers, all roads should be clear by 1:30 p.m.
