Charlotte traffic: Road blockage at Main and Griffith Streets

There’s an accident in the roadway on Pineville-Matthews Road near the Park Road intersection at 8 a.m. Friday. Police are responding to an injury accident at Park and Tyvola roads.

Police also say the roadway is blocked at Main and Griffith streets in Davidson. At a little after 8 a.m., Davidson police said they hope to have the roadway cleared of a tree within the hour.

There’s been an accident at the intersection of South Tryon Street and West Boulevard near uptown.

In Charlotte, there’s congestion along I-77 South between mile markers 9 and 12 and on the northbound side between markers 2 and 3 near I-485.
