A man and a woman face murder charges among others in connection with the June 20 killing of 49-year-old Shawn Parker in northwest Charlotte.
Cordero Lamont McCoy, 23, and Keaundra LaShawn Strong, 32, were arrested Friday without incident and charged with murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and first-degree burglary. They were questioned at CMPD headquarters and then jailed at the Mecklenburg County Jail.
Jail records showed that Strong was still in the jail Friday evening, but there was no record for McCoy.
On June 20, police found Parker with a gunshot wound in a house in the 5400 block of Windy Valley Drive off Rozzelles Ferry Road and Brookshire Boulevard.
He’d been shot sometime before 3:30 that morning and was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic.
