More than 1,800 men gathered at a NASCAR Hall of Fame ballroom in uptown Charlotte Wednesday for the 108th annual Good Fellows luncheon. Organizers expected to raise almost $1.9 million at the event, with more to come. That will provide emergency assistance to working families in Mecklenburg County. The Good Fellows Club was founded in 1917. Good Friends, a comparable all-women’s club, will hold its annual luncheon at the Charlotte Convention Center on Thursday.
