‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper dies at 61
According to TMZ Sports, Wrestling legend “Rowdy” Roddy Piper died at 61 in his sleep from a cardiac arrest. His body was discovered on Friday.
Piper was a wrestling star in the 80s and was matched up against Hulk Hogan and Mr. T.
In a YouTube video, Piper was seen in Charlotte as recently as March 23, 2014, in a panel with Hulk Hogan for the Mad Monster Party.
Accordin the the article, Piper has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2006, but in November he said he was cancer free.
He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.
