‘High severity’ incident reported on Outer Loop

Two of three lanes on the Outer Loop of Interstate 485 were reported blocked after an incident at 1:15 p.m. near Steele Creek Road.

The incident was high in severity, according to N.C. Department of Transportation. WSOC-TV reported Sunday afternoon that a man suffered a spinal injury and had to be airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center.
