Mecklenburg County Manager Dena Diorio and Deputy County Manager Leslie Johnson top the list of best-paid county employees, according to January data.

Diorio earns some $464,000 — about $110,000 more than Johnson.

Other top-paid employees include attorneys, pathologists and chief officers.
