Two suspicious devices were found early Wednesday inside an ambulance at Carolinas Medical Center’s main facility on Kings Drive.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police and fire officials were on the scene, but gave an “all clear” shortly after 6:30 a.m., according to WBTV, the Observer’s news partner.
The devices were found in an unattended ambulance parked behind an annex building. As authorities investigated, Medic posted on its Twitter account that it was prepared to have some of its units transport patients elsewhere.
No details have been released about the items found by police during the search.
