Hickory man dead after domestic incident
A 50-year-old Hickory man has died following a domestic incident at 910 Cloninger Mill Road.
Tony William Johnson suffered a stab wound to the neck on Aug. 4. He was pronounced dead at Frye Regional Medical Center.
Hickory police questioned Johnson’s stepson after being called to the residence about 8:48 p.m. but later released him. Investigators also interviewed other people at the residence.
No charges have been filed, although an investigation is continuing.
