If you want to cheer on the Charlotte Knights behind the scenes at the ballpark, there’s a chance to be part of the action as a team member.

Ahead of the 2025 season, there are several open positions at Truist Field. So if you’ve ever had a dream of working for a baseball team, this could be your big break.

Director, Communications

Responsibilities include:

  • Compile daily game notes for press box and media distribution.

  • Develop content for a range of channels, including press releases, media advisories, press conferences, social media, and the official Charlotte Knights website.

  • Compile stat packs for field staff and media members.

  • Handle media inquiries and coordinate press events or interviews with Charlotte Knights staff and players.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that support organizational goals and enhance brand reputation.

Finance Manager

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain vendor lists, entering invoices submitted by other departments and advising on expense coding.

  • Reconcile bank statements and collect all cash and check payments from other departments for deposit.

  • Manage all insurance claims and prepare annual insurance renewals.

  • Prepare daily game day revenue.

  • Book all entries for the financial statements.

Front Desk Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities include:

  • Greet guests enthusiastically and professionally in person and over the phone.

  • Provide administrative support for the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager as needed.

  • Maintain schedule for conference room and supplies for front office and employee break room.

  • Respond to guests’ email requests and inquiries.

  • Assist multiple departments with projects throughout the season.

Graphic Design Associate (internship)

Responsibilities include:

  • Create headshots, scoreboards, starting lineups, marketing material, sponsored assets, and social media material.

  • Working game days includes but is not limited to operating as technical director, replay operator and/or broadcast camera operator.

  • Help with other game and graphic design assets as assigned.

  • This position runs through Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Merchandise Seasonal Associate (internship)

Responsibilities include:

  • Assists with the opening of the Knights Team Store on game days and non-game days.

  • Fulfills and packages online orders.

  • Manages new inventory and routinely stocks merchandise.

  • Recommends, selects and helps locate or obtain merchandise for guests.

Video Production Associate (internship)

Responsibilities include:

  • Working game days includes but is not limited to operating as technical director, replay operator, broadcast camera operator and/or videographer.

  • Create highlight reels, social media videos, crowd prompts and more.

  • Help with other game and video production duties and assets as assigned.

  • This position runs through Tuesday, Sept. 30.

Broadcast Production Associate (internship)

Responsibilities include:

  • Research players, teams, coaches, league, etc. for home and away games.

  • Build broadcast graphics and write and produce game day rundowns.

  • Coordinate with broadcast talent and communications director.

  • Operate camera, replay, camera shading, technical directing and basic engineering.

  • Setting up cameras, camera maintenance, and taking down cameras after games.

  • This position runs through Tuesday, Sept. 30.

About the Charlotte Knights

Charlotte’s minor league team is the Triple-A affiliate for the Chicago White Sox. The Knights’ season opens Friday, March 28.

Sergio Santos, a former Knights player himself, was recently named team manager for the upcoming season.

Promotional days at the ballpark this season include:

  • Negro League Tribute Night: Saturday, April 5
  • Bluey Day: Saturday, May 3
  • Superhero Day: Saturday, May 10
  • Military Appreciation Night: Wednesday, June 2
  • Faith & Family Night: Saturday, June 19
  • First Responders Night: Saturday, Sept. 20

For home games throughout the season:

  • Sundays: Kids Run the Bases
  • Tuesdays: Taquitos & Tallboys
  • Wednesdays: Bark in the Ballpark
  • Thursdays: Thirsty Thursday (drink deals)
  • Fridays: Fireworks
