Cornelius man dies in motorcycle wreck

A 36-year-old Cornelius man has died after being thrown from a motorcycle in Lincoln County.

Jamie Jacobs was traveling north on N.C. 16 just north of N.C. 73 when he lost control of his motorcycle around 5:45 p.m. Saturday.

The motorcycle overturned and he was thrown off, according to N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. J.E. Reid. He said speed may have been a factor in the wreck. Karen Sullivan
