1 dead, 1 hospitalized after I-85 wreck in Charlotte on Saturday, MEDIC says
A person died and another was hospitalized with serious injuries in a wreck on Interstate 85 in Charlotte on Saturday morning, according to MEDIC.
The wreck closed southbound I-85 near the West Sugar Creek Road exit for several hours, according to the North Carolina Department of Transportation. The highway reopened just after 7 a.m., NCDOT’s real-time traffic site showed.
The State Highway Patrol has released no details about the wreck.
