Sunny day on the way for Charlotte area
Another sunny day is on the way Thursday for the Charlotte area, with a forecast high of 89 and milder humidity, according to the National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg, S.C.
That pattern is expected to continue through at least next Wednesday, with all sunshine expected each day.
Highs are forecast to stick to a seasonal 88 Friday, 89 Saturday and Sunday, 90 Monday and Tuesday and 91 Wednesday.
With little or no rain forecast, severe drought conditions continue to expand across the southern Piedmont of North Carolina and the eastern Piedmont of South Carolina, the weather service reported.
Many communities remain under voluntary water conservation.
