Trash pickups change for Labor Day. Schedules for Charlotte, Mecklenburg towns

Charlotte and Mecklenburg County are gearing up for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, Sept. 1, which means trash and recycling services will be limited in the coming days.

Mecklenburg County solid waste centers will be closed on Labor Day, but will reopen the following day.

Labor Day trash, garbage schedule

Charlotte trash pickup will operate on a normal schedule, according to City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services.

Waste Pro, the solid waste collection service that most Mecklenburg County towns use for trash pickup, will operate on a one-day delay beginning Monday.

This means Monday and Tuesday pickups for Cornelius, Davidson, Matthews, Mint Hill and Pineville will instead be Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively.
