Video: Monkey on the loose after escaping Iredell County zoo in NC
A monkey remains loose in Iredell County.
Iredell County Animal Services is still searching for the Capuchin monkey that had escaped from Zootastic Park in Troutman, officials said Thursday after announcing theyāre aware of the loose monkey in a Facebook post Wednesday.
The monkey is seen walking on power lines in a viral video thatās been played more than 310,000 times on Iredell Firewireās Facebook page.
Local residents are urged for their cooperation in bringing the animal to safety. Anyone who spots it should call Zootastic at 704-309-5564 and Iredell County Animal Services at 704-878-5335 immediately, and not attempt to capture, chase or interact with the monkey.
