Relief from dry conditions arrives this week
We’re likely to have a wet week ahead, starting Monday night or Tuesday.
We should see some sunshine Monday, with a high around 91 degrees and a low of 71. The chance of showers will be just 20 percent, and any precipitation should arrive mostly after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
Monday night the chance of showers or thunderstorms increases to 40 percent, mainly after 9.
Tuesday is expected to be cloudy with a high near 83 and a 70 percent chance of showers. The rainfall is likely to continue into Tuesday night, when the chance for precipitation is 60 percent with a low of 71.
Clouds will linger on Wednesday, with a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms during the day and a 50 percent chance that night. Wednesday’s high will be around 88 and the low around 72.
The wet weather will begin to clear a little by Thursday. The chance of precipitation will fall to 30 percent, although the clouds will likely remain. The high Thursday is expected to reach 89 and the low should be around 72.
More showers are likely Friday. The high will be about 90 with a 30 percent chance of showers during the day and a 40 percent chance that night.
The weekend may bring some clouds, but the forecast calls for only a 30 percent chance for showers on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s high will be near 90 with a low of about 71. Sunday’s high will be near 88.
