I-77 delays reported for northbound and southbound travelers

Travel is slow on southbound Interstate 85 near the I-77 South interchange. A wreck was reported there at 7:17 a.m. and is expected to be cleared by 10 a.m., according to NCDOT.

Also:

▪ A wreck on southbound I-77 in Huntersville is causing heavy congestion from Sam Furr Road to Hambright Road.

▪ On northbound I-77, congestion is heavy from the I-485 interchange to Arrowood Road, where a wreck was reported at 6:51 a.m.

▪ A hit-and-run wreck on Johnston Road at eastbound I-485 has left a damaged vehicle on the road.

▪ A collision at Rea Road and Piper Station Drive was reported at 6:51 a.m. The vehicles are still on the road.

▪ A wreck was reported at North Tryon Street and Atando Avenue.
