Charlotte firefighters rescued an injured construction worker from the roof of the Quarters at Morehead apartment building under construction at West Morehead and South Church streets Tuesday morning.

The worker was lowered in a basket from about four stories, with a firefighter attached to the basket as it was brought to the ground. Medic was at the scene to examine and treat the worker, Charlotte fire officials said.

The worker’s condition and how the worker was injured were not available.
