Buying liquor this week? Charlotte ABC hours change for Christmas, New Year’s

ABC store hours in Charlotte will change for Christmas and New Year’s, though alcohol sales will still be allowed during the holidays.

All Mecklenburg County ABC stores will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, and Thursday, Jan. 1, so shoppers should plan ahead for any holiday gatherings.

Here’s what to know about store hours during the holiday weeks.

Mecklenburg County ABC store hours for Christmas, New Year’s

Stores will be open regular hours throughout the week, except on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

ABC stores will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, then reopen on Friday, Dec. 26 from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Stores will also close on Thursday, Jan. 1 and reopen Friday, Jan. 2 with the same hours.

Keep in mind, though, that wine and beer are still available at grocery stores on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.
