1 dead in crash on Interstate 85 in Charlotte on Saturday, Medic says
A person died in a crash on Interstate 85 in Charlotte on Saturday, Medic confirmed on social media.
The wreck happened around 3:30 a.m. on I-85 South near the University City Boulevard exit, Medic said. No one else was reported injured.
The crash closed lanes for several hours, state highway officials reported on DriveNC.gov, the state’s real-time traffic incident site.
Officials reported the wreck scene cleared at about 7:30 a.m.
Police have released no details about the wreck.
