Crash closes four lanes on Interstate 85 in Charlotte Saturday night
A crash closed four of six lanes on Interstate 85 in Charlotte Saturday night, state highway officials said.
The four right lanes are closed near West Sugar Creek Road Exit 41..
“Expected impact to traffic is high,” officials said on DriveNC.gov, the state’s real-time traffic information site.
The crash happened just before 6:30 p.m., and it could take two hours to clear the wreck, according to the N.C. Department of Transportation.
It wasn’t immediately known whether anyone was hurt or what caused the wreck.
