Gas prices are still high. Here’s where to find cheap prices in Charlotte

Drivers in Charlotte, Gastonia and Rock Hill are paying 30 cents more per gallon of gasoline this month compared to last, according to AAA.

That’s the same average increase across North Carolina, according to the insurance company’s gas tracker.

Charlotte area drivers are currently paying $4.24 per gallon, the tracker stated. And for the time being, it appears that price is unlikely to come down. Fuel prices have continued to rise throughout the country since the United States and Israel attacked Iran in February.

Iran has limited shipping of fuel through the Strait of Hormuz, which sees the passage of about 20% of the world’s oil supply.

Drivers in the Charlotte region may be looking for the best way to save money on fuel prices. Instead of driving around, wasting gas, there are three apps that can help instead.
