Charlotte traffic: Albemarle Road traffic signals working again after early morning wreck
Several traffic signals along a stretch of Albemarle Road in Charlotte are working again, after a single-car wreck on Reddman Road knocked out power to the signals at about 3 a.m., Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. Thomas Gwaltney said at 5 a.m. Friday.
The car left the road and struck a utility pole, causing power to go out in the area, Gwaltney said. Duke Energy’s online outage map showed only a couple of homes without power at 5:30 a.m.
The car’s occupants left the area before first responders arrived, he said.
Gwaltney said Duke Energy is repairing the downed pole.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, meanwhile, are at an injury wreck involving multiple vehicles in the 5200 block of North Graham Street.
Police cleared an earlier wreck on Mount Holly Road at Interstate 485.
