Gastonia apartment fire was likely intentionally set
A fire that caused an estimated $25,000 in damage to an apartment in Gaston County on Sunday morning was likely set intentionally, according to the Fire Department.
The occupants of the second-story apartment in the 800 block of Barkley Street in Gastonia were not at home when the fire broke out about 6:30 a.m., the Gastonia Fire Department reported.
No other units were damaged.
