3 injured in shootout on Tuckaseegee Road
The occupants of two vehicles exchanged gunfire while their cars were stopped in the 2800 block of Tuckaseegee Road early Sunday, leaving three people wounded, according to police.
The shootout was reported about 12:30 a.m. Sunday near Tuckaseegee and Effingham Roads.
The three victims suffered wounds to their extremities, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police Capt. Brian Foley. Police did not know whether the injured were occupants of the vehicles or bystanders, Foley said.
The injured were treated for their injuries and released. A vehicle and a home were also hit by gunshots.
