Sunny and a little cooler most of the week
Temperatures will be slightly cooler most of the week around Charlotte, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 80s.
But the week begins with a 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms Monday and a high around 90 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Patchy fog may appear in some areas early Monday, so leave home a little early and watch for school buses. Monday is the first day of school in Mecklenburg County.
Monday night the 30 percent chance of showers or thunderstorms continues, with a low around 67.
Once past Monday, expect sunny skies to return for most of the week.
Tuesday’s high is expected to be around 88 with a low of 65. Wednesday through Friday look for highs around 87 and a lows of about 66.
On Saturday the high is expected to dip a little lower, to about 86. The low will be about 67.
Sunday’s high is expected to return to about 88 degrees.
